About Us
Founded in 1990 by Philip Marie Moreau Dip. Hort., M.I. Hort., and Paul Brooks to grow and market hardy nursery stock for the Irish and United Kingdom markets.
We leased 4 hectares of land in the village of Tuamgraney, Co. Clare, where there is a long tradition of nursery growing since 1912. In 1996, we purchased the old nursery of McLysaghts at Raheen, which is comprised of 18,000 square metres of glass and 32,000 square metres of growing bed space. In 2000, we purchased a further 4,000 square metres of glass and erected 6,000 square metres of multi-span polythene for over-wintering stock.
Glenbrook Nurseries always concentrated on growing quality plants for both the Garden Centre and Landscape trade, at home and abroad. In Ireland we are selling to a large number of independent garden centres as well as organisations like Gardening Inside Out group Our U.K. customer base includes: Dobbies Plc.,The Garden Centre Group Ltd.,, Worfield Gardens, Shropshire and Mahoods Brothers, Lancashire and many others
We are concentrating in adopting Integrated Pest Management and we try where possible to use biological control for pests and diseases. We are holders of the Bord Bia Quality Award 2010 and we have been award winners over the past nine years
We are members of the Irish Hardy Nursery Stock Association (IHNA), and the International Plant Producers Society (IPPS).
Visitors are always welcome to view crops and see the various stages with-in the growing cycle.
